Dordogne Castles

Beynac Castle is a medieval fortress dating from the twelfth century. In very good condition, it is classified as a historic monument. He invites you to discover the surroundings of the Dordogne to 150 meters.
La Maison Forte de Reignac is an unusual castle erected in the town of Tursac. This is the last bastion castle cliff still standing in France. XVI century, it is protected through its title of historic monument.
Built in the thirteenth century, the imposing Castelnaud Castle rises in the heart of the town of Castelnaud-la-Chapelle. This medieval stronghold and its gatehouse were both listed as historical monuments.

The famous Lascaux cave is 45 km from your location or your rental camping. The fragile works that are preserved there have been reproduced so that the public can admire.

Only 5 kilometers from the campsite, the Chasm Proumeyssac invites you to discover its impressive mineral universe. Located in the town of Audrix, it offers a timeless visit amid stalactites.
Maxange caves are 10 kilometers from the campsite. They are crystallization caves, creating stunning eccentric panels. These places are part of the natural sites classified for over 10 years.

Visit Beynac in Dordogne

30 min from your campsite pitch or your mobil home, discover a unique holiday atmosphere as you walk in this setting worthy of a postcard.

Stroll through the village, along the river ... There are many paths for walking and hiking.

Lascaux Caves

 

Lascaux Cave is one of the most important place of art dating back to the Paleolithic.
A 45 min drive from the campsite, it brings together an incredible number of works left by our ancestors.

At the heart of the cave, there are seven areas that have been decorated by prehistoric artists.
The Bulls Hall is the most impressive place because of large paintings up to several meters there. Aurochs and horses are also represented.
The diverticulum Feline, the Painted Gallery, the Passage, the nave, the apse or the wells are other areas of the cave with amazing scenes, more than a thousand engravings and paintings.

Les Eyzies, high place of Prehistory

 

By visiting this charming town, visit the cradle of prehistory as a field of study.

The famous Cro-Magnon was discovered on this mountain territory. There is also a cave of the same type as Lascaux.

Castelnaud La Chapelle

 

Castelnaud the beautiful town of Chapel was built on a rocky promontory provided very green.
